foreign and Im here again with poppy and Harrison now poppy you wanted to talk about um the way theyre Prosecuting gang members somethings changing whats going on yeah so um this week I was reading the guardian Shakura and I do actually read The Guardian newspaper and they had a really interesting piece about something called Joint Enterprise convictions now it sounds pretty innocuous but what joint Enterprise basically means is its a law that involves the prosecution of people who are involved in Say gang violence or say if theres some kind of coordinated attack on someone if you were to say help collaborate in that killing you can then be prosecuted through this joint Enterprise law so its a really old law its existed for hundreds of years but the way that weve using it in like modern policing sense is specifically to go after gang members right why is it necessary as opposed to just like murder or the problem is with a lot of gang killings you know its not that every sing
