this document has two text boxes which are not linked I will show you how to link them select the first text box and then click on format click on create link then the mouse pointer will turn into an upright picture position the mouse pointer to the center of the second text box the mouse pointer turns into a tilted picture click the mouse and a link is established between the two text boxes you can see the create link is now changed to break link which conforms link is established between the two text boxes now if text is copied to the first text box then the text that cannot fit into the first text box will be automatically placed into the second text box if you increase the textbox size then you can see the additional text that can fit into the first text box is automatically shifted from second text box to the first text box because both are linked

Adjust the text box margins Click the outer edge of the text box to select it. On the Shape Format tab, click Format Pane. Click the Shape Options tab if it isnt already selected. Click the text box icon. , and then click Text Box. You can adjust the left, right, top, and bottom margins.
Select the shape or text box. On the Drawing Tools Format tab, click Text Fill More Fill Colors. In the Colors box, either click the color you want on the Standard tab, or mix your own color on the Custom tab.
Select the text box. Select one of the handles and drag until the text box is the size you want.
Select the Picture Format or Shape Format tab, and then select Transparency . A gallery of preset transparency options for the picture appears. Select one of the preset options, or select Picture Transparency Options at the bottom for more detailed choices.
On the transparency slider, adjust the level of transparency you would like. If you want it to be fully transparent, slide the control to 100%. Check the no line option. The text box will disappear.
Make the background of a text box invisible Right-click the text box that you want to make invisible. On the shortcut menu, click Format Shape. Under Fill, select No fill. Under Line, select No line.

Select File, choose a picture, and then select the Insert button. Move the Transparency slider in the Format Shape pane to adjust the picture. Or you may enter a number in the box next to the slider: 0 is fully opaque, the default setting; and 100% is fully transparent.
