so the first time we started hearing about flex gate was last year we started getting a bunch of forum posts on our answers page and people were saying that they had this issue where they would open up their laptop and some of the back lights werenamp;#39;t working so along the bottom of the display when you open the laptop you can kind of see alternating patches of light and dark further down the line after you get the stage light effect people were noticing that if they would open their laptop past a certain angle the backlight would completely stop working in 2016 they redesigned the chassis and introduced the touch bar and those are the only machines that have been affected so far so now that itamp;#39;s been a year or two since those machines were introduced they are running past their one year warranty from Apple and people with this issue are taking them into third-party repair shops and they are actually the ones who have kind of gotten to the bottom of this issue the

To free up disk space on your Mac: Empty the Trash: Right-click the Trash icon and select Empty Trash. Delete Unused Apps: Go to the Applications folder, drag unused apps to the Trash, and empty it. Clear Cache: Open Finder, press Shift+Command+G, type ~/Library/Caches, and delete unnecessary files.
There are several options here, so lets go through a few. Remove large and old files. Empty Trash. Clean up the Downloads folder. Move files to an external hard drive. Learn to use Optimized Storage. Uninstall unused applications. Delete your Desktop screenshots. Get rid of system junk.
Uninstall apps that you no longer use. If your Mac is set up for multiple users, delete users that no longer need access to your Mac. Or ask them to follow the steps in this article after logging in to their user account. Also check the Users folder on Macintosh HD for any undeleted data belonging to deleted users.
Check Macs temperature. Overheating is a common cause of lines on Mac screens. Typically, Macs overheat because of heat in the room, poor ventilation (for example, when placed on a pillow), demanding apps, or a busy CPU. Sometimes, your Mac overheats because the fans are dirty.
Every app youve ever installed on your Mac leaves behind system-related files and user preferences that stay even once you get rid of the app itself. Over time, those files, referred to as caches, tend to accumulate and take up docHub space on your startup disk.
Uninstalling apps you dont use anymore and cleaning your browser by clearing its cache and removing browser extensions are great ways to free up space on your Mac. If your machine doesnt have an SSD, you can consolidate and organize disk storage by defragging your Mac.
Out of Space: The Out of Space status icon indicates that the folder or file cant be stored in iCloud because there isnt enough iCloud storage. A similar icon can also appear next to iCloud Drive in the sidebar, where it indicates that iCloud storage is full.
On your Mac, move the pointer to the green button in the top-left corner of the window, then choose Enter Full Screen from the menu that appears or click the button . In full screen, do any of the following: Show or hide the menu bar: Move the pointer to or away from the top of the screen.
