in this Photoshop tutorial letamp;#39;s take a look at how to change your canvas size thereamp;#39;s three ways to do it on the right hand side you might see the properties panel go up to window down to properties if you donamp;#39;t see it you can actually change your canvas size right here you can link them together if you want to keep this Ratio or you can unlink them and edit the size right here you can change the units right here just by right clicking and adjusting the units you can also just type in the units as youamp;#39;re changing the size quickly you can go swap between vertical and portrait modes just like this it might give you a warning that tells you youamp;#39;re going to clip some of your area but thatamp;#39;s okay and you can just proceed another way to change your canvas size is to re-crop so the crop tool over here in your tool panel the shortcut key is C allows you to re-crop your artwork to the space even outside of your canvas once youamp;#39;ve cropped

You can use the Transform option (Ctrl+T on Windows and Cmd+T on Mac) to freely resize an image in Photoshop. Hold the shift key, click on any side of the Transform option, and adjust ing to your requirements. This will allow you to equally resize the image without any distortion.
Choose a font size If youre changing existing text, select one or more characters whose size you want to change. Select the Horizontal Type tool or the Vertical Type tool . In the options bar, enter or select a new value for Size.
For most sharing and storage purposes, though, youll get better results using the JPG image file format. Open your image in Photoshop. Go to File Export As In the Export As menu, choose JPG as your file type. Move the Quality slider to the left to reduce file size and quality.
Here are a few of my best practice tips for resizing an image while minimizing the loss of quality: Use high-resolution source images. Resize incrementally. Maintain the original aspect ratio. Use WordPress plugins. Employ command-line tools. Be mindful of dimensions when reducing image pixel size.
To do this, go to Image Image Size and enter the desired size in the Width and Height fields. Make sure that the Constrain Proportions box is checked to maintain the aspect ratio of the image.
Use Super Resolution to increase the size of an image without losing the detail it had at its original size. Super Resolution also automatically cleans, sharpens, resamples, and enhances your new image.
How to Reduce the Size of an Image Using Photoshop With Photoshop open, go to File Open and select an image. Go to Image Image Size. An Image Size dialog box will appear like the one pictured below. Enter new pixel dimensions, document size, or resolution. Select Resampling Method. Click OK to accept the changes.
Using the Gradient tool, draw a line across your image mask layer. This will result in a gradual fade across the line you have drawn. Expand it: You can experiment further with the tool by adding another photo beneath your main image layer to fade two images together, or try changing the colors for color fade effects.
