Welcome to Hydrogeology 101 - Pumping Tests. My name is Andreas de Jong and today I want to talk about pumping test analysis in leaky confined aquifers. Iamp;#39;ll give you a brief overview of the theory and share with you the key references and links to some free books, and then weamp;#39;ll do a practical pumping test analysis using one of my free Excel tools. Letamp;#39;s get started. In a previous video we talked about pumping tests in confined aquifers where there was no leakage through the aquitards. Please have a look at my Theis and also the Cooper Jacob videos if youamp;#39;ve not already done so. Iamp;#39;ll leave a link in the description below this video. Here is a confined aquifer. It is underlain by an aquiclude - thatamp;#39;s an impermeable layer, and on top we have an aqitard - a confining layer, which is also slightly permeable. On top of the aquitard is an unconfined aquifer. Both the water table of the aquifer and the potentiometri
