fainting is a very common clinical problem itamp;#39;s also known as syncope fainting occurs when a person loses consciousness and they often slump over in a chair or fall to the floor most people donamp;#39;t realize that fainting occurs because of a sudden drop in blood flow to the brain the brain requires a continuous flow of blood in order to supply nutrients and oxygen to the brain tissues and if the blood flow to the brain is suddenly reduced thatamp;#39;s when a person can start to feel light-headed they can feel hot and sweaty the vision can become dark and then a person can lose consciousness usually once they hit the floor the blood flow is restored the brain wakes up again and the person regains consciousness usually within a minute or two now the reason that the blood flow to the brain suddenly stops is usually related to blood pressure in order for the blood to get from the heart to the brain the heart has to produce a certain amount of pressure to force the blood uphil

Put simply, fainting happens when there is a drop in blood flow to the brain. When the brain isnt getting the blood (and importantly, the oxygen) it needs, it causes you to lose consciousness and fall down. Fascinatingly (and perhaps counterintuitively), falling is the bodys way of trying to recover.
Fresh air can also help, especially if you are feeling hot. If it is not possible to lie down, put your head down as low as possible. If you do faint, remain lying down for 10 minutes. Sit up slowly when you need to get up.
In some cases, the exam may be terminated, and the remaining students may be given an opportunity to retake the exam at a later date. In other cases, the exam may continue, and the affected student will be given a grade based on their performance up until the point of the incident.
The medical term for fainting is syncope, but its more commonly known as passing out. A fainting spell generally lasts from a few seconds to a few minutes. Feeling lightheaded, dizzy, weak, or nauseous sometimes happens before you faint.
Your heart slows down and pumps less blood, so your blood pressure drops. Then, your brain doesnt get enough oxygenated blood, and you faint. Certain bodily movements or functions also can naturally cause a drop in blood pressure that may lead to fainting spells.
Fainting is when you suddenly lose consciousness and become unresponsive for a few seconds.
This is typically linked with a loss of postural tone that leads to falling down or needing to lie down. In an otherwise healthy person, fainting may not be cause for alarm. But in rare cases, it can be a sign of a serious underlying health condition.
The heart rate may slow dramatically at the time of the faint, and the blood vessels (mainly the veins) in the body expand, causing blood to pool in the lower extremities and the bowels, resulting in less blood return to the heart and a low blood pressure (hypotension).
