If your print-outs are streaky, faded, have lines on them that should not be there, or are otherwise poor in quality, this may be due to a problem with the printer or a low ink or toner supply. You may be running out of ink or toner. Check your ink or toner supply and buy a new cartridge if necessary.
Here are the most common causes of a printer printing faded text or images: Low ink or toner levels. Toner sticking to the fuser roller or problems with the transfer roller. Low ink or toner density settings. Low or high humidity.
Clogs. Inkjet printers can develop clogged cartridges that cause defects in their output, including voids within lines of text. These problems often show up after your hardware sits idle for periods of time, which can cause ink to dry out.
You can solve this issue easily by increasing the print speed. If the pages appear faded, you can increase ink saturation by decreasing the print speed or increasing the quality setting. Usually, these settings can be found in the Advanced Properties menu.
