foreign Rodriguez here we have two basic families of printers well more than that lets just talk about the ones intended for producing photos you have die base printers usually those will have a maximum of say six colors and then you have pigment based printers difference between the two dies are totally transparent if I took a piece of nice light color Pine or Maple and I would apply a dye stain I will be able to see clearly the grain of the wood itll just be magenta or yellow or orange or whatever dye I use but Ill be able to see all of the character of the wood basically right through that dye layer that I laid on that piece of wood if I use a pigmented stain however its going to hide the grain somewhat youre not going to be able to see it as clearly as possible now some stains may contain a little bit of dye and again some pigment it depends on the stain you use but the fact of the matter is that because its a pigment based stain its going to block the grain so that is some

The most common reason for getting faded prints is having empty or defective toner cartridges. It is unbelievably frequent that people forget to replace their empty toner cartridges and struggle to figure out why their printers print faintly. Another common reason is that people use defective cartridges.
Your prints are duller than your screen images because the screen is a light source whereas the print can only reflect available light. Reducing the brightness of your monitor will help but will not completely eliminate the difference.
Dirty Print Head If you have not used your printer for a while, your print head may become clogged, which causes some part of your text to fade. It is a good practice to perform print head cleaning to restore the ink flow.
Run your printers print head cleaning utility (instructions typically found in your user manual). If the problem persists, you will need to remove the individual cartridges and ensure the contact and cable surfaces are free of ink residue.
Unfortunately, there is no way to restore faded ink to its original state. Some chemicals are advertised to darken original inks, but they are often damaging to paper and conservators do not recommend them.
Go to Printing Preferences then Maintenance and select Print Check Pattern. Once the page has printed, you can select the appropriate cleaning option. Allow the printer to complete the cleaning cycle. If the quality has not improved, please try running the cleaning cycle 2-3 more times.

You can solve this issue easily by increasing the print speed. If the pages appear faded, you can increase ink saturation by decreasing the print speed or increasing the quality setting. Usually, these settings can be found in the Advanced Properties menu.
