End users: To display non-printing characters in a Doc, go to View Show non-printing characters. Visit the Help Center to learn more about viewing document outlines, summaries, rulers, and non-printing characters.
In your document, Go to the View tab. A drop-down menu will appear, Go to Show non-printing characters and click on it.
To see the hidden characters in a Google Docs, Click somewhere in the Doc. Click View. Click Show non-printing characters. Click to Scroll down your Doc to see all of your hidden formatting symbols.
