In this video tutorial, Steve shows how to hide and show gridlines in Excel. To do this, go to the View tab and under Show, click on the Gridlines checkbox. Gridlines are just visual indicators and will not show up in print. If you want them to show up when you print, you need to highlight your cell and adjust the settings accordingly.
