Be a resident of Oregon or have a place of employment or practice in this state. Be able to read and write English. Not have had a notary public commission revoked during the 10-year period preceding the date of this application. Complete a notary training course within the last 6 months.
In order to docHub a document, the signing individual(s) must appear in person before the notary and prove their identity. The notary will then review the documents, review the signatures of the signer(s), and complete the acknowledgment form to finalize the process.
Each original document to be docHubd must have a photocopy. Photocopy also your valid identification card (examples: drivers license, state identification card or passport) that shows the same full name and signature in your documents.
The Solution: If a notary uses a metal embosser as her official seal, she should carefully darken the very top of the raised embossment so that the seal will be visible on a photocopy of the document.
An upside-down seal impression could cause a document to be rejected by the receiving agency. Its recommended to leave a second seal impression (right-side up). If there is no room for a second impression, the signer should check with the receiving agency to ensure attaching a new Notary certificate is acceptable.
A drivers license or ID card issued by any state. United States military ID card; ID card issued by a federally recognized Indian tribe; or a document issued by the federal, state, county, or local govt. All must contain the persons photo and signature.
An upside-down seal impression could cause a document to be rejected by the receiving agency. Its recommended to leave a second seal impression (right-side up). If there is no room for a second impression, the signer should check with the receiving agency to ensure attaching a new Notary certificate is acceptable.
Carefully place the impression inker over the raised impression and apply pressure. Instantly the writing becomes darkened and thus more visible. The document may now be sent through a fax machine, scanner, or photocopier to produce copies on which the raised impression wording is clearly visible.
The laws of most states authorize certain members of the United States Armed Forces to provide notarial services within the military without obtaining commissions or appointments as civil notaries (see para 21b(2)). This regulation does not limit the application of such laws to Army personnel.
First, there must be some way to darken that seal so that it shows up when scanned for recording. This involves trying to rub a pencil over the raised surface or having a special stamp to darken it.
