hey there this is crystal and today were talking about fixing inconsistent formulas in Excel in Excel in Excel 2010 you can actually see pretty quickly that a formula may not be working let me show you so here Im in Excel and nope right here this is not the total so here are all the items that Id like to add up and the total should be here its missing something as soon as I click right here on where the sum is located its very small but theres a little green flag right over here that indicates that theres something wrong with this formula theres also when I selected this smart icon thats right here that tells me exactly that theres some formula some reference in this cell where theres additional numbers that could be located so if I click on the little drop down arrow here it tells me immediately that the formula admits adjacent cells so I can make my other choices update formula to include cells I can even get help on this arrow so all I have to do click right on it update
