In todays video, Im going to show you how you can add a header and footer to your worksheets. For example, lets say you want to add in your company logo to the header of each printed page, or you want to add in page numbers to the footer of your printed pages or to your pdf documents and also how you can tweak the logo or the picture to make sure it fits properly inside your header. One question I get often is how to apply the same header that you take the time and you create it for one of the tabs, so how can you apply that to other tabs at the same time? This is a sample spreadsheet that I have open. I have a few tabs here Im currently in tap T2. Lets see, for this one, I wouldnt add in a header. Now there are different places you can do this. One option is to do it from page layout so you can go here and under page setup, you have this little icon here, just click on this. The transparency or dimming of headers and footers when viewing the document in Print Layout view cannot be removed. By design, you can edit the headers and footers only when those areas are opened, and the main part of the document is dimmed and cant be edited.
Double click on the footer, then head to the Layout tab. In the Paragraph section you can change spacing. Hope it helps.

When you are working in the header/footer, the document body is dimmed, and when the document layer is active, the header and footer are dimmed. This is meant to be a visual cue to the user.
Headers and footers are shaded because they are not in the typing area of the document. When you double-click inside the header or footer, the text will show as normal and the body of the document will be faded.
If the header is too close to the top margin, it may appear faded. To correct this, pick Margins from the Page Layout menu. Adjust the top margin to give your header additional space.
