A header is text that is placed at the top of a page, while a footer is placed at the bottom, or foot, of a page. Typically these areas are used for inserting document information, such as the name of the document, the chapter heading, page numbers, creation date and the like.
By default, 0.5 is the default height of the Footer position from bottom.
Choose a new font color from the dropdown menu that appears. If the header is too close to the top margin, it may appear faded. To correct this, pick Margins from the Page Layout menu. Adjust the top margin to give your header additional space.
Setting header and footer margins Logically the header and footer margins should be smaller than the top and bottom margins, and in fact the default is 0.5 for header and footer and 1 for top and bottom.
