To fade an image, upload your photo or drag n drop it to the editor. Next, click on the opacity tool located at the top toolbar of the editor. Once activated, adjust the transparency of the image using the slider. After youre done, download the image in multiple file formats.
Follow these simple steps to fade an image gradually into a transparent background, or into the background layer. Step 1: Open the Image in Photoshop. Step 2: Unlock the Background Layer. Step 3: Expand the Canvas. Step 4: Add a Layer Mask. Step 5: Select the Gradient Tool.
Choose Select and Mask from the options bar. Feather it: In the Properties panel on the right side of the screen, use the Feather slider to adjust how much of a blur effect will be applied to the layer mask that overlays the selected area.
The Background Eraser Tool is really a brush, and just like Photoshops other Brush tools, you can adjust its size directly from your keyboard. Press the left bracket key ([) repeatedly to make it smaller or the right bracket key (]) to make it larger.
Using the Gradient tool, draw a line across your image mask layer. This will result in a gradual fade across the line you have drawn. Expand it: You can experiment further with the tool by adding another photo beneath your main image layer to fade two images together, or try changing the colors for color fade effects.
The eraser tool in Photoshop can be changed in the Tool Options Bar at the top of the workspace. The current size, hardness, opacity, mode and other eraser settings can be adjusted here.
Fade it: Make sure your image layer is above your adjustment layer in the Layers panel, and then adjust the opacity of your image until its faded just the way you want. Adjust it: Experiment with different colors for your adjustment layer and different levels of opacity to achieve the right effect.
