fainting after you pee believe it or not this is a thing itamp;#39;s called micturish and syncope and it happens because when you urinate especially if you strain to urinate this can cause activation of the vagus nerve which leads to reduction in heart rate also dilation of blood vessels this then reduces blood flow to the brain which can make you lightheaded and even cause you to pass out this is more common in men because men are more likely to pee while standing up and to prevent it you guessed it the recommendation is to pee sitting down and i know for a fact that you pee sitting down
