We have developed soft electrode array that can be deployed below the skull at the surface of the brain. This is useful to enable measurement of neuronal activity in the context, for example, of epilepsy. When they are fully deployed, the electrode array looks like a flower with multiple spiral petals. They are about four centimetres in diameter and theyamp;#39;re very thin, theyamp;#39;re about a few hundreds of microns in thickness, to fit the very narrow space between the skull and the brain. This is to answer a specific request from neurosurgeons who are hoping to have minimally invasive devices, so they can have through a small hole in the skull a large area coverage of the surface of the brain. Our very first prototype was really like a flower with straight legs, straight petals, and when we made this device, we realized there was a lot of open space remaining at the surface of the brain, and therefore, we decided to engineer curvature into the

What is an Epitaph? An epitaph is a short statement about a deceased person, often carved on his/her tombstone. Epitaphs can be poetic, sometimes written by poets or authors themselves before dying. The phrase epitaph comes from the Greek phrase epitaphios meaning funeral oration.
A short poem intended for (or imagined as) an inscription on a tombstone and often serving as a brief elegy.
Including his own epitaph is a subtle way of focusing the poem from its broader vistas to a single point. As if the poet foresees there will be none to write an elegy for him or to the contrary, because he does not trust the compositions of others to be adequate, he composes his own.
a short piece of writing or a poem about a dead person, especially one written on their gravestone.
The epitaph reads how Gray wishes to be remembered. It says that a humble man lies beneath the ground, which may have become well educated and famous but only hopes to be remembered for the simple life he led.
Eliots epitaph reads: In my beginning is my end In my end is my beginning. This line is taken from his poem East Coker, which is one of the four poems in Four Quartets.
