If youamp;#39;ve done a primary survey and established that your casualty is unresponsive but breathing normally they should be placed into the recovery position to help maintain the airway. To do this, kneel next to them on the floor remove their glasses and any bulky objects in their pockets but do not search their pockets for small items. Make sure both of the casualtyamp;#39;s legs are straight. Then, take the arm nearest to you and place it out at a right angle to the body with the palm facing upwards, like so. Take the other arm and bring it across the chest and place the back of the hand against your cheek nearest to you and hold it there. With your other hand lift their far knee up until the foot is flat on the floor. Whilst keeping the casualtyamp;#39;s hand pressed against their cheek, pull the far leg and carefully roll the casualty towards you and onto their side, like so. Once youamp;#39;ve done this, adjust the top leg so that it is at a right angle. Tilt the casualty

Fainting or loss of consciousness is a potentially serious situation and medical attention should be called for immediately. Dizziness, especially when standing up too quickly, is an extremely common symptom for people with heart failure.
Structural cardiovascular disease causes presyncope when circulatory demands are greater than the hearts ability to increase output. The most frequent structural causes are aortic stenosis and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Vasovagal syncope causes Vasovagal syncope happens when you have a sudden drop in blood pressure, which causes a drop in blood flow to your brain. It often occurs after standing for a while or under emotional distress.
You can usually get relief by lying down with your legs raised (elevated). This helps more blood to flow to your brain and may help relieve symptoms like feeling dizzy. Some doctors may recommend a technique that involves tensing your fists and arms. This type of fainting is often easy to predict.
Vasovagal syncope is quite common. It most often affects children and young adults, but it can happen at any age. It happens to men and women in about equal numbers. Unlike some other causes of fainting, vasovagal syncope does not signal an underlying problem with the heart or brain.
All cases of cardiac syncope have the same general mechanism. When the heart fails to generate adequate cardiac output, the brain is inadequately perfused and temporarily malfunctions, leading to the syncopal event. Bradyarrhythmias lead to this final pathway because the heart is too slow to generate enough flow.
Vasovagal syncope is the most common cause of fainting. It happens when the blood vessels open too wide or the heartbeat slows, causing a temporary lack of blood flow to the brain. Its generally not a dangerous condition. To prevent fainting, stay out of hot places and dont stand for long periods.
Dizziness is defined as feeling like the room is spinning or you are going to pass out. This can be due to a slow or fast heart rhythm, and can indicate that your hearts electrical system is not firing properly. This could be a sign of an arrhythmia, or of a heart valve condition, Dr. Phillips says.
