For your result to be Pregnant (positive) there must be a blue line in the control window and a + symbol in the result window within 10 minutes of testing. It does not matter if one of the lines that make up the + symbol is lighter or darker than the other; the result is Pregnant.
After you have done the test, wait for a couple of minutes for the symbol to appear; if a blank circle appears this means no rise in LH has been detected but if a smiley face appears, this means there has been a rise in LH and there is a higher chance of getting pregnant.
A faint line looks different depending on which test you use. Most pregnancy tests use two parallel lines or a plus sign to indicate pregnancy. If you take a test with the plus sign, youll be looking for one dark vertical line (the control line) and one faint horizontal line crossing it.
For two-window tests, the first window would show the test line and the second window would show a single line that looks like a minus (-) symbol. This means you are not pregnant. On a digital test, a negative test result will say Not Pregnant or No to indicate that you arent expecting.
The control line appears to show that you have tested properly, while the test line appears only if the test determines that you are pregnant. These lines are called indents, where the ink pools into one or two lines to show if you are pregnant or not.
Any positive line, no matter how faint, means your result is pregnant. Levels of hCG in your body will increase over the course of your pregnancy. If you test early, your hCG levels may be still be low and youll see a faint positive line.
One pink line and one line lighter than the other in the pregnancy test result window means you are pregnant. Any positive test result (even a very faint line) shows that the pregnancy hormone (hCG) was detected.
