So when you create documents in Pages youre mostly typing characters, letters, numbers, symbols that you can see. But there are also invisible characters. So looking at this document in Pages you can see there are tons of invisible characters. What! You cant see them!. Of course not. Theyre invisible. But there is a way to make them visible. That is to go to View and then Show Invisibles. You can see the shortcut is Shift, Command i. We do that and it will reveal all the invisible characters. Here we could see the invisible characters as blue symbols. The most obvious one that you can see is, of course, the Space. Space between words are characters just like

Show or hide formatting marks Show invisibles: Choose View Show Invisibles (from the View menu at the top of your screen). Note: The View button in the toolbar doesnt have this command. Hide invisibles: Choose View Hide Invisibles.
Click in the text where you want to place the character, then choose Edit Emoji Symbols (or press Control-Command-Space bar).
However, if you always want certain invisible characters to appear, you can select them individually in Word Preferences View Show Non-Printing Characters.
With your document open in Pages on Mac, click View Show Invisibles from the menu bar. You should immediately see the formatting symbols in your current document. And you can use the same action to Hide Invisibles again. A nice feature for the Invisibles in Pages on Mac is that you can change the color.
Change text using the Format controls Apply a different paragraph style: Tap the style name below Paragraph Style, then tap a new paragraph style (scroll to see more). Change the font: Tap Font, then tap a new font. Apply bold, italic, underline, or strikethrough: Tap any of the buttons below Font. Change the size: Tap.

Enter special characters and symbols Click in the text where you want to place the character, then choose Edit Emoji Symbols (or press Control-Command-Space bar). The Character Viewer appears where you clicked. To locate a character, do any of the following: Click a character to insert it in the text.
On your iPhone or iPad, you can see most invisibles when you select text that includes them. To temporarily view all of the symbols in your document, tap in an empty corner of the page, then tap Select All. A clipping indicator appears at the bottom of a text box if text extends below its borders.
