Open your spreadsheet and also open a Google Doc. Click on Insert Special Characters. The special character is inserted into Google Docs first.

Here are the steps: Open Google Docs and create a blank document. Write some text in your document. Highlight the text youve written. Click on the Format tab in the header. Click on Text . Click on the Strikethrough option.
Place your cursor where you want the section symbol () to display. Click on the menu option Insert. On the drop-down menu, click on the menu option Symbol. In the Set section of the Symbol screen choose the Typographic Symbols and a list of symbols will display.
You can also highlight all the non-printing characters in your document so they are easily visible. To do so, go to Extensions Show Highlight symbols. To hide the paragraph marks, go to Extensions Show Hide all. Note: To remove the add-on, go to Extensions Add-ons Manage add-ons Show Uninstall.
