my name is Mark Patterson Iamp;#39;m a child neurologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester today Iamp;#39;d like to talk to you about a common problem in children which is fainting or syncope now anytime a child loses consciousness and falls to the ground itamp;#39;s a cause of considerable alarm and distress Iamp;#39;d like to reassure you that in the vast majority of cases there is not a sinister cause for this most children who think do so because they have whatamp;#39;s called vasovagal syncope itamp;#39;s usually precipitated by something which is frightening to them by being dehydrated by standing for a long period of time or even sitting very still and quietly and in those cases what we really need to provide the child and parents with is reassurance there are however some more sinister causes of sudden loss of consciousness that are important to exclude now of course as a neurologist I often see children because parents or other physicians are concerned that the child may have

ing to the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a first syncopal episode makes a pilot unfit to fly. Only if there is a clear and avoidable medical explanation for the episode the pilot can be declared fit to fly[2].
Blue diamonds are Type IIb diamonds, which are extremely rare and valued very high. Most blue diamonds are rare, but blue diamonds with very high color intensity that display a deep blue color are the rarest.
Fluorescence is the glow you sometimes see when an object emits visible light. Some diamonds fluoresce when they are exposed to long-wave ultraviolet (UV) rays from sources like the sun. This can cause them to emit a bluish light or more rarely, a yellow or orangy light.
So, is diamond fluorescence good or bad? Well, that depends. The more expensive diamonds (large and high color, think D-E-F) are far more valuable when they exhibit no fluorescence. But for most other diamonds, especially diamonds with Faint fluorescence, this phenomenon rarely impacts the diamonds visual nature.
Faint: Diamonds with Faint fluorescence exhibit a very slight amount of fluorescence. It is usually not detectable to the unaided eye, and can emit a very subtle blue hue under UV light. Medium: Diamonds with Medium fluorescence will have a stronger blue glow under UV light.
When you place a real diamond underneath an ultraviolet light, the stone with fluorescence in it will turn blue. But its important to know that this will only happen with about one-third of all diamonds. A diamond, on the other hand, will almost never look blue under a black or UV light.
