Bates Numbering is especially useful for labelling document collections with sequential numbering, for easy identification and retrieval. Lets start by adding Bates Numbering to a single document. Open the file in WordPerfect. Select Bates Numbering from the Tools menu. There are several options, but lets work with the Current Document option first. Click Next. Select the number of digits for your numbering. For example, 7000 would be 4 digits. If you would like a Prefix and Suffix, add them here.
