In computing, Deflate (stylized as DEFLATE) is a lossless data compression file format that uses a combination of LZ77 and Huffman coding. It was designed by Phil Katz, for version 2 of his PKZIP archiving tool. Deflate was later specified in RFC 1951 (1996).
Deflate is the algorithm used by the zlib and gzip implementations. Zlib is a library providing Deflate, and gzip is a command line tool that uses zlib for Deflating data as well as checksumming. This checksumming can have docHub overhead.

For the best compression rate, choose 7z. Compression level the compression time increases with the compression level. The presets range from Store (fastest compression) to Ultra (slowest compression time with the most space saved).
