No idea. Maybe it was heat, maybe it was dehydration, maybe it was that their blood pressure dropped. Who knows? Thereamp;#39;s a number of reasons. Maybe they were having a stroke. Maybe there was epilepsy. Maybe there was a poisoning. Maybe they got stung by a bee and now theyamp;#39;re going into anaphyaxis. Thereamp;#39;s so many reasons why a person can have a drop in blood pressure, and cause them to faint. That if we donamp;#39;t know why they fainted, weamp;#39;re going to activate EMS. You can always apologize and ask for forgiveness later, but you can never speed up the time from

There is nothing to be embarrassed about with fainting. You shouldnt let the fear and anxiety around fainting get in the way of fulfilling what you want to do.
Most patients in the U.S. are admitted even if they dont need to be, because doctors worry there might be a life-threatening cause, says Dr. Shamai Grossman, an associate professor of emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School, whos conducted about 20 studies on fainting.
Your doctor will go over your medical history and perform a physical exam. If there is concern your fainting episode could be a predictor of something for more serious, such as a heart condition, you will likely receive a series of tests. Electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) - records the electrical activity of your heart.
In some cases, the exam may be terminated, and the remaining students may be given an opportunity to retake the exam at a later date. In other cases, the exam may continue, and the affected student will be given a grade based on their performance up until the point of the incident.
Even very short fainting episodes may signal a serious problem. There are many reasons for reduced blood flow to the brain, some of which are serious and may require treatment or, even, hospitalization.
Most fainting will pass quickly and wont be serious. Usually, a fainting episode will only last a few seconds, although it will make the person feel unwell and recovery may take several minutes. If a person doesnt recover quickly, always seek urgent medical attention.
Setting of Care. The net benefit of hospitalization in syncope strictly depends on the patients risk of adverse events and on the goals of hospitalization. Low-risk patients do not usually require additional diagnostic tests and can safely be discharged from the ED.
You will probably get sent home. If you do, and your parents ask questions, answer them honestly. In the event you hurt yourself or your faint warrants a hospital visit in an ambulance, dont worry. Other kids will most likely be concerned for your health than anything else.
