Recipient Address Line 2 field states the second address line of Recipient. This is the address to which the shipment is sent.
This is the second line, if needed, of an address, typically a building name or post office box number. Post office box numbers should be used only in mailing addresses.
There are a few essential elements to include: your recipients full name, the delivery address, city, state (when shipping within the U.S.), and zip code. From there, the formatting may change depending on your shipments destination. Are you sending a package to someone who doesnt usually live at that address?
One of the most common causes of address recognition issues with FedEx is incorrect or incomplete address formatting. FedEx uses a standardized format for addresses, which includes fields for the recipients name, street address, city, state/province, ZIP/postal code, and country.
If you need to change or correct a delivery address before the package is delivered, log in to your FedEx account, go to our tracking page, and follow these steps: Enter your tracking number or reference number. Select Manage Delivery, then Edit Delivery Address.
Address Line 1 is typically used for the street address of the recipient. In contrast, Address Line 2 is used for additional address information such as an apartment or suite number, building name, floor number, P.O. Box number, or any other relevant details that could help identify the location.
What is address line 2? Address Line 2 is a field commonly added to address forms to allow users to enter secondary address unit designators. Valid entry values include address components like the apartment, suite, room, floor, building, unit, and department numbers, along with PO Boxes.
