In this screencast, we demonstrate how to convert form-based PDF contracts into structured data by creating a document parser to extract key information from a standardized lease agreement. We begin by setting up a new document parser and selecting "standardized contracts" as the document type. After uploading sample contracts to establish parsing rules, we create a rule to extract the signatory’s name by outlining the relevant area in the PDF, utilizing a text manipulation filter to separate the first and family names. We then proceed to create a second parsing rule to extract the signatory’s date of birth by selecting the date preset and drawing a square around the relevant data.
