In this screencast, we demonstrate how to convert form-based PDF contracts into structured data by creating a document parser. We focus on extracting key dates and checkbox values from a standardized lease agreement. To begin, we choose "standardized contracts" as the document type and upload sample contracts to establish our parsing rules. After uploading, we create parsing rules: the first extracts the signatory's name by drawing a square around the relevant data location, automatically applying a text manipulation filter to separate the full name into first and last names. The second rule extracts the signatory's date of birth using a date preset and a similar selection process.
