what is going on guys welcome back in todays video were going to learn how to extract information from pdf files in python so lets get right into it [Music] all right so when preparing the code for this video i wanted to find a solution where i can use just one simple python library to work with pdf files to extract tables to extract images to extract text and so on all with one simple library and even though i think its possible to do all this with one of these libraries i figured out that its better or easier to use different libraries for the different use cases so if you want to extract images theres a library that makes it easy for you if you want to extract text theres a library that makes it easy for you and if you want to extract tables there is a different library that makes it easy for you so were going to do in todays video three sections where we use three different python packages to do three different things with pdf files if youre working on a huge pdf parsing

How to extract pages from a PDF Open the Organize Pages tool. Click the Select a File button. Open a PDF you want to extract pages from. Select Extract in the top menu. Highlight pages you want to extract. Click Extract to extract the selected pages. Save your new PDF.
Copy selected text Choose Edit Copy to copy the selected text to another application. Right-click on the selected text, and then select Copy. Right-click on the selected text, and then choose Copy With Formatting. You can paste the copied text into comments, bookmarks, and documents authored in other applications.

To save an image from a PDF, simply open the document and click on the image you want to extract. Once highlighted, right-click on the image and select Copy. Then, open your favorite document or image processor, and paste the copied image into it.
Extract an Image from a PDF Use the Select tool to click an image. The image to highlight with a blue selection box. Right-click the selected image, and select Extract Image. Browse to a location, and specify a filename for the image. Save as type: Specify an image file format: JPG, TIF or PNG. Click Save.
