In this tutorial, we demonstrate how to convert form-based PDF contracts into structured data by creating a document parser. We begin by setting up a new document parser and selecting "standardized contracts" as the document type. After uploading sample lease agreements as blueprints, we proceed to create parsing rules. The first rule involves extracting the signatory's name by drawing a square around the data location, resulting in an automatic text manipulation filter that separates the full name into first and family names. The second rule is set to extract the signatory's date of birth, using a date preset and similarly marking the relevant area in the document.
