In this tutorial, we demonstrate how to convert form-based PDF contracts into structured data using a document parser. We begin by creating a new document parser and selecting "standardized contracts" as the document type. After uploading sample lease agreements as blueprints for parsing rules, we proceed to establish these rules. The first rule extracts the signatory's name by drawing a square around the relevant area in the PDF, automatically adding a text manipulation filter to separate the first and last names. The second rule aims to extract the signatory's date of birth by selecting a date preset and marking the appropriate section. This systematic approach allows for effective data extraction from standardized contracts.
