In Data Management, you can extract data from Planning, stage it, and export it to a flat file, which can be automated using EPM Automate. Begin by selecting the Setup tab in Data Management and add a custom target application. This involves staging the extracted data in the target application before export. Choose "Custom Application" for Type and input an application name in the Application Details section. On the Dimension Details tab, add a row for each Planning dimension to be exported, specifying the Target Dimension Class based on the dimension type and the Data Table Column Name for the staging table. During export, data is organized by a predefined order: Account, Entity, user-defined dimensions, and then Amount. To ensure Data Management creates the output data file for the custom target application, enable the corresponding setting.
