In this screencast, we demonstrate how to convert form-based PDF contracts into structured data by creating a document parser for a standardized lease agreement. We begin by selecting "standardized contracts" as the document type and uploading sample contracts to establish parsing rules. Once the documents are uploaded, we create rules to extract key information, starting with the signatory's name by drawing a square around its location and confirming the selection. A text manipulation filter automatically splits the full name into first and family names. Next, we set up a second parsing rule to extract the signatory's date of birth using a date preset and a designated selection area.
