In this screencast tutorial, we demonstrate how to convert form-based PDF contracts into structured data. We'll create a document parser to extract key information, such as dates and check box values, from a standardized lease agreement. We begin by creating a new document parser and selecting "standardized contracts." Next, we upload sample contracts to establish parsing rules. After uploading, we create a parsing rule for the signatory's name by drawing a square around its location, which automatically adds a filter to separate the first and family names. Subsequently, we set a second rule to extract the signatory’s date of birth by using a date preset and drawing a selection area around the relevant data.
