[Music] hi this is trey solari from the datadog solutions engineering team today im going to cover generating metrics from log events so to give you some context of the logs that im bringing in here is my live tale where im actively collecting logs in real time and i can select one and see my log event that has the attribute of score and in this case 26 this is the attribute that im going to convert to a measure and a metric inside of datadog so im generating these scores from my application these could be payment amounts latency time or any other type of quantitative value youd like to measure and track as a metric inside of datadog and if i move over to my log explorer ill be able to see all the logs that have come in over an extended period of time and im going to select one of them and under the score attribute im going to click on score click create measure for score its going to give me some information about what were doing were creating a measure for quantitative v
