In this screencast, we demonstrate how to convert form-based PDF contracts into structured data by creating a document parser. We will extract key information such as dates and checkbox values from a standardized lease agreement. First, we create a new document parser and select "standardized contracts." After uploading sample contracts as blueprints, we establish parsing rules. The initial rule extracts the signatory's name by drawing a square around the relevant data, which automatically includes a text manipulation filter to separate the full name into first and last names. Our second rule aims to extract the signatory's date of birth by using the date preset and selecting the appropriate area in the document.
