In this screencast, we demonstrate converting PDF contracts into structured data by creating a document parser. We begin by selecting "standardized contracts" as the document type and uploading sample contracts that will serve as blueprints for our parsing rules. After uploading, we create parsing rules to extract key information. The first rule focuses on the signatory's name, where we draw a square around the relevant data, enabling a text manipulation filter to split the full name into first and last names. The second rule is for extracting the signatory's date of birth, where we select a date preset and outline the appropriate area in the document.
