A script written in another screenwriting program or a regular word processing program can be exported as a PDF (FD13 / 12 only) or a plain or rich text file (for FD11 and older), then imported into Final Draft. Final Draft will reformat the file as a feature screenplay.
To apply a style (bold, italic, underscore, strikethrough) to a word or a block of text, highlight it and touch the Styles icon at the lower right. Choose the style you want and it will be applied to the selection.
Go to Document Page Layout Colors. Youll see the selections for Text, Background and Invisibles colors. Click on the color swatch (Mac) or the down-arrow next to the swatch (Win) and a palette will open; select the color you want and click OK.
How do I access draft mode in word processors? In most word processors like Microsoft Word or Google Docs, you can find the draft mode option by navigating to the View tab on the toolbar. From there, you can select Draft or Draft Mode to activate it.
Drag your PDF file into the docHub Reader app, where you can view the text. Select File, Save as Other and then Text from the drop-down menu. Drag this new text file into Final Draft. Click on the Script button when Final Draft asks you to identify the document as Text or Script.
Go to Edit Select All; Go to Production Clear Revised.
On the Design tab, select Watermark. In the Insert Watermark dialog, select Text and either type your own watermark text or select one, like DRAFT, from the list.
In your Word, PowerPoint, or Excel file, click File Info Protect (Document, Presentation, or Workbook) Mark as Final.
