Expungement Law US. Criminal Expungement is the process of going to court to ask a judge to seal a criminal record. When a record is sealed, it does not show up in a criminal background check.

You may apply to the Pardons Board for an Absolute Pardon, which is an absolute erasure of your criminal record, THREE (3) YEARS after the date of disposition of your most recent MISDEMEANOR conviction and FIVE (5) YEARS after the date of disposition of your most recent FELONY conviction.
A single NJP (like an Article 15) isnt necessarily a bar to Honorable Discharge or even a Good Conduct Medal. As long as your mistake wasnt major (say, a Field Grade AR15 or less) and youre not barred from reenlistment, you should be good.
