What is the Authorization Header? The Authorization header is a part of the HTTP request headers used in client-server communications. Its primary function is to authenticate a user-agent with a server, typically by carrying credentials in the form of a or a set of credentials like username and password.
Via is used to route responses whereas Route and Record-Route headers are used to route requests. User agents use Record-Route headers to build Route headers. The other routing related headers are Path header (Refer RFC-3327) and service-route header (Refer RFC-3608).
The Via general header is added by proxies, both forward and reverse, and can appear in the request or response headers. It is used for tracking message forwards, avoiding request loops, and identifying the protocol capabilities of senders along the request/response chain. Header type.
Via Header is used by the User Agent Server (UAS) to return/reply the SIP status responses (e.g. SIP 100 Trying, 180 Ringing, etc.) Contact Header: Contact header basically contains the SIP URI of the end user, that the originating user can use to send future requests to.
Response headers. Hold additional information about the response, like its location or about the server providing it. Representation headers. Contain information about the body of the resource, like its MIME type, or encoding/compression applied.
Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) is an HTTP-header based mechanism that allows a server to indicate any origins (domain, scheme, or port) other than its own from which a browser should permit loading resources.
The Location response header indicates the URL to redirect a page to. It only provides a meaning when served with a 3xx (redirection) or 201 (created) status response.
Via Parameters: A Via header field value contains the transport protocol used to send the message, the clients host name or network address, and possibly the port number at which it wishes to receive responses. Transport protocols defined here are UDP, TCP, TLS, and SCTP.
