with respect to n syntax both the Dax functions gives us an identical syntax as you can see that over here but when we come over here and here we got the slicer as you can see that and when I move the slicers you can see the changes in the date at table as you can see that let me move one more time yes you can see the changes in the data table there is no changes is happening over in the parallel period table why it is not happening because in an interval D type function takes an interval as year quarter month day and in the parallel period interval takes as year quarter month so if you want to see a data in a full period wise you can go with the parallel period Dax function if you want to see the data as per the date wise then yes you can go with the date add function
