To remove specific text from each cell in a selected range, press Ctrl + H to display the Find and Replace dialog, and then: Enter the unwanted text in the Find what box. Leave the Replace with box blank.
How to delete cells in Excel Highlight the area to delete. Locate an area on the workbook you want to delete. Click on the Delete option After selecting a cell range, return to the Home tab at the top of the screen. Press Delete Cells Under Delete, theres a drop-down menu. Choose an option to delete the cells.
Select all the cells in the table, click Clear and pick Clear All. Tip: You can also select the table and press Delete. If you want to keep the data without the table format, you wont be able to do that in Excel for the web.
Put your cursor on any of your selected cells and right-click on it. The following menu window will be displayed. Choose the Clear Content option, and all the data from the selected cells will be deleted.
