Can the police see if you had a record expunged or sealed and the answer is no if your record was expunged the police if they did the expungement procedures properly should have sent you what they call a compliance letter or your actual initial arrest or case paperwork or destroyed it basically the police cannot or should not see an expunged record however if your case was sealed which means it was covered or hidden from the public the government including the police still have access to that record so yes if it was sealed the police would still see it

To expunge is to erase or remove completely. In law, expungement is the process by which a record of criminal conviction is destroyed or sealed from state or federal record.
Expunge is a true delete. It completely removes the data from the application and cannot be recovered.
FINRA will expunge customer dispute information from CRD only if: FINRA receives a court order that directs expungement of the information; or. A court confirms an arbitration award that authorizes such expungement.

You must pay a $250.00 administrative fee to the Solicitors office, a $25.00 fee to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), and $35.00 filing fee to the Clerk of Court. You pay the fees with separate money orders when you apply to your Solicitors office.
Rule 2080(b)(1): Upon request, FINRA may waive the obligation to name FINRA as a party if FINRA determines that the expungement relief is based on affirmative judicial or arbitral findings that: A. The claim, allegation or information is factually impossible or clearly erroneous.
FINRA will not see records subject to a properly executed Expunction. However, criminal cases that have not been properly expunged may be visible. Expunction is a powerful legal tool that can remove all records of a qualifying criminal case. Learn more.
