How Do I Save a Fillable PDF as Read Only? In Power PDF, select Advanced Processing. Select the Process option. Select Flatten and adjust options to remove the necessary form elements. Click OK and save your new flattened document.
Steps to export PDF using Acrobat Reader Click Convert in the right-hand pane. Select the desired file format in the Convert to drop-down list, and then choose the appropriate document language using the Change link. Click the Convert button. Click the Save As button to download the converted file.

Open the PDF in Acrobat, and then choose Tools Export PDF. The various formats to which you can export the PDF file are displayed. Choose the format to which you want to export your PDF.
You can use Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote for the Web to convert your doc into a PDF. Select File Print Print (in PowerPoint you will select one of three formats). In the dropdown menu under Printer , select Save as PDF and then select Save.
With the form fields added to the PDF, right click on the Signature field you are wanting to edit and choose Properties. Then from the Signed tab, choose to Mark as read-only and select the fields you want to lock after signing. Finally, Close.
In order to flatten an interactive pdf file so that it is not an interactive file, you must PRINT IT TO PDF. We recommend that you always PRINT interactive pdf files to pdf so that when you upload them to CM-ECF, they are no longer fillable.
