To fix Microsoft Edge not opening PDF files, open Edge and click on the three dots at the top right. Then go to Settings, navigate to Cookies and site permissions, and find PDF documents. Turn off the "always download PDF file" option and turn on PDF view settings. If the issue persists, search for default apps, find the .pdf setting, and set Microsoft Edge as the default PDF opening app. Try opening the PDF file again.

Microsoft Edge comes with a built-in PDF reader that lets you open your local pdf files, online pdf files, or pdf files embedded in web pages. You can annotate these files with ink and highlighting. This PDF reader gives users a single application to meet web page and PDF document needs.
How to use Microsoft Edge PDF Reader Open the PDF in Microsoft Edge. Select Edit in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Select the blank fields you want to edit and type in your text. Save the edited PDF by selecting Save in the top toolbar.
