You can use the download and upload functions to copy templates between users and between accounts, and even between environments. Note: You must have the appropriate template permission setting (create or share) in order to download or upload templates.
Selecting "Sender" from the "Signers" menu will allow you to add Merge Fields (aka Custom Fields). Custom field data can be populated via API when the template is used in a signature request. You must also specify a case-sensitive "Merge field" label that you will use to reference the custom field in your API request.
Once you have a data source connected to your document, adding merge fields is a way to personalize a document with information from the data source. The merge fields come from the column headings in the data source.
You can access your stored templates on your Documents page, and you can share templates that you've created with your teammates so that they can use them as well. Just log in to HelloSign and click the “Templates” tab on the left-hand side navigation, and then select “Create template” to get started.
Editable Merge Fields (referred to as “Custom Fields” in the API documentation) let requesters allow signers to edit data that has already been pre-filled in by the requester.
