In this video tutorial, the presenter demonstrates how to import dot csv files, also known as comma-separated files, into an Excel document. The process involves opening the csv file in Notepad to view its content, which consists of titles and data separated by commas. The first option is to click on the csv file with Excel installed on the operating system to open it directly. If that doesn't work, users can search for the Excel app and click on a blank worksheet to import the csv file by clicking on the data option and selecting "From Text/CSV."

Copy the formula: Select the cell containing the formula you want to copy and press Ctrl+C or click the Copy button on the Home tab. Select the destination cells: Click on the cells where you want to paste the formula. These can be in the same worksheet or a different one.
csv consists of plain text only. csv has nothing to do with spreadsheets. If you choose Text (*. csv) in the save-as dialog and then Edit filter settings you get an additional dialog where you can specify that formulas should be exported instead of formula results.
There are two ways to include formulas as part of the exported Excel file. Set dataType=Formula in the Excel Styles for a column. Set autoConvertFormulas=true in the Excel export parameters to be used across all columns.
Replies (2)  You must save the file in an Excel format, e.g. xlsx. If you save the file e.g. as csv the formulas are gone because that is a text file, not an Excel spreadsheet file.

Saving Common Formulas Enter your formula as you normally would. Select the cell containing the formula and press F2. Hold down the Shift key as you use the cursor control keys to select the entire formula, including the equal sign at its very beginning. Press Ctrl+C. Press Esc.
To save the formulas, display the formulas on the worksheet before saving the file. Go to File Options. Then go to Advanced Display options for this worksheet and select the Show formulas in cells instead of their calculated results check box.
