When you sign a PDF using your digital ID, the PDF becomes read-only for others. If you received a PDF digitally signed by others, you can sign it, but cant edit it. While signing a PDF, if the signer chooses to lock the document after signing, the document becomes read-only for everyone, including the signer.
How to Edit a Signed PDF with Google Docs Upload your signed PDF to Google Drive. Open the PDF in Google Docs. Make your edits. Press File. Press Download. Select PDF Document.
Resolution Open the PDF document in docHub. Select the Prepare Form tool. Select the form field(s) to unlock. Open the form field properties window. Uncheck Locked checkbox in bottom-left corner. Uncheck Read Only checkbox. Re-check Locked checkbox and select Close

Once you have added all the necessary fields on the PDF, right click on the 1st Signature Field and choose Properties and click on the Signed Tab. 13. Click on the Pick Button to choose the fields that are to remain editable after the first digital signature is applied to the document.
How to Edit Signed PDF Online Launch PDFgear online. Visit the official PDFgear online editor through any of your preferred browsers. Add your signed PDF file to the tool. Click on Upload PDF files to help add your PDF file to the tool and browse your file. Edit the file. Edit the PDF file. Save the file.
Click the Lock icon in the upper-left corner of the page. Click the link labeled: Permission Details. In the Security Method drop down, select: No Security. Enter your unlock password and click the OK button three times.
Can I edit a PDF that I signed? If youre the only one signer, you can remove the signature and then work on the document or edit the source document. To remove your signature, right-click the signature and then choose Clear Signature.
