Sign with your name and title. As a reference letter is a formal application document, its important you can sign it in a professional and official manner.
When should I request letters of recommendation? Ideally, you will want to ask for recommendation letters no later than two to three months before you plan on submitting your primary application (i.e., AMCAS). Therefore, if you plan to submit AMCAS in June, you should ask no later than the beginning of May.
How do I submit letters of recommendation? Your letter writers must submit their letter electronically through the AMCAS Letter Writer Application or Interfolio. You do not review or submit your own letters of recommendation.
Some word processors or PDF editors will also allow you to digitally sign and associate this with some form of cryptographic signature. In short: sign your letter, but do it the easy and electronic way if you can.
Follow the steps below to send your letters of recommendation to AMCAS. Log into your Interfolio account and go to Account Settings to add your AAMC ID (found in. After adding your AAMC ID, start a new delivery. Type AMCAS in the search box, and select the position that appears. Add documents from your Dossier.
So, you can submit your application prior to or on the due date even if your letters of recommendation havent yet been received by AMCAS.
How do I submit letters of recommendation? Your letter writers must submit their letter electronically through the AMCAS Letter Writer Application or Interfolio. You do not review or submit your own letters of recommendation.
You can upload letters electronically via the AMCAS Letter Writer Application, or Interfolio . Letters sent through Interfolio can take up to 3 business days to be marked as received within the AMCAS application. Letters uploaded through the AMCAS Letter Writer Application are immediately marked as received.
