In this video, Iamp;#39;ll show you how to remove a password from a protected Word document. Hi, my name is David. And if this is your first time watching my video tutorials, and you get value from the content that you watch, kindly consider subscribing. So, letamp;#39;s begin by opening up our Word document and just double clicking on it, it prompts us to input our password, just input your password and open up the file. And the reason for putting up a password is to protect the integrity of the document, limit the viewers and protect or avoid people from copying or editing or making any changes to the document. So to remove the password that weamp;#39;ve set up in the previous tutorial, all you need to do is just click on File info. And from the protect document drop down, just click on it. And when you click on encrypt with password, youamp;#39;ll notice that it already has a password. If you highlight this- Ctrl A and click on backspace and click

Type the formula =SUBSTITUTE(Cell1,-,) into the fx text box. You can replace the Cell1 section with the name of the cell you want to delete dashes from and press the enter button on your keyboard. Continue using the SUBSTITUTE formula to delete dashes from individual cells throughout your Excel spreadsheet.
Export the query to Excel and remove the +4: In Excel, highlight the column with the ZIP codes. Select Data, Text to Columns from the menu bar. In Step 1 of 3, ensure Delimited is selected and click Next. In Step 2 of 3, unmark Tab and select Other. In Step 3 of 3, make no changes and click Finish.
Apply a predefined postal code format to numbers Select the cell or range of cells that you want to format. On the Home tab, next to General, in the Number Format box. In the Format Cells dialog box, under Category, click Special. In the Type list, click Zip Code or Zip Code + 4.
If youre importing addresses from an external file, you may notice that the leading zeros in postal codes disappear. Thats because Excel interprets the column of postal code values as numbers, when what you really need is for them to be stored and formatted as text.
Remove Password Protection from a Word File Click the Protect Document icon. Select Encrypt With Password. Delete the current password from the password field and click OK. Save your file and it will now open without the need for a password.
Removal of field codes Before re-submitting your revised manuscript after acceptance, open your document in Microsoft Word, select Tools - Endnote (or Reference Manager) - Remove Field Codes - save the manuscript under a new name. Then resubmit that version.
Follow the steps below to shorten to five digits: Insert a new column to the right of your current zip code column. Type or copy and paste =LEFT(C2,5) , replacing C2 with your cells identifier. Drag the formula down the rest of your column.
Word documents containing field codes may not convert properly to HTML and/or PDFs when submitted. To remove the field codes, press CTRL-A to select all of the text in your document. Then press CTRL-SHIFT-F9 to remove the field codes. Save this version as a new document and re-upload.
